David Pearson

I saw an interview with David Pearson on one of those racing shows. If I heard right, he is second only to Petty in race wins. He looks good and in shape for his age. I bet if given a ride he could school the sliced bread type and the rest of the green horns.

When I hear the phrase “back in the day” I think of drivers like Mr. Pearson. Maybe back in the day it was all about Chevy, Ford or Dodge , for me it was and is about character

The interview with Mr. Pearson reminded me of one thing, a racer is a racer is a racer regardless of the generation gap. They all have things to teach, and we all have things to learn.

In the late 80"s I worked for King Racing and David use to come to the shop all the time, great guy.If I remember right he took some laps in The Woods brothers car when Neal Bonnett was hurt at the now Lowes speedway. There is also some great storys about flying with David in his plane, there is more than a few people who will never forget and still won't fly to this day lol.
