direct-flo
I saw an interview with David Pearson on one of those racing shows. If I heard right, he is second only to Petty in race wins. He looks good and in shape for his age. I bet if given a ride he could school the sliced bread type and the rest of the green horns. When I hear the phrase “back in the day” I think of drivers like Mr. Pearson. Maybe back in the day it was all about Chevy, Ford or Dodge , for me it was and is about character The interview with Mr. Pearson reminded me of one thing, a racer is a racer is a racer regardless of the generation gap. They all have things to teach, and we all have things to learn. Edited May 9, 2009 by direct-flo

jakdad
There used to be a running joke with some of the NASCAR teams. When the Woods Brothers pulled pulled into the track, They said "well I guess we're racing for second place".
