NickHolt
James Buescher/#10 International MaxxForce Diesel NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Michigan 200 at Michigan Int’l Speedway BUESCHER LOOKING TO BOUNCE BACK IN MICHIGAN CONCORD, N.C. (June 9, 2009) – The last two weeks haven’t treated James Buescher and his International MaxxForce Diesel team too kindly. After his truck caught on fire at Dover, he fought an ill-handling race truck last Friday at Texas Motor Speedway. This weekend at Michigan International Speedway, the Texas-bred teen hopes to change his luck for the better. This Saturday will mark Buescher’s first career visit to the Irish Hills. He’s looking to improve upon his current stat line and score his first career top-ten finish in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. In addition to the Truck Series race on Saturday, Buescher will also be competing in the ARCA RE/MAX Series race on Friday in hopes of acquiring seat time and learning the nuances of racing on the 2-mile D-shaped oval. At Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., a track similar to Michigan in size and shape, Buescher scored a 13th place finish. Buescher, a Raybestos Rookie of the Year candidate, is currently 17th in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series standings, 285 points out of the lead. Watch James in the Michigan 200, airing Saturday afternoon on SPEED at 1:30 pm EST. The race will also be broadcast live on local MRN Radio affiliates and Sirius-XM Satellite Radio. JAMES’S THOUGHTS ON RACING IN MICHIGAN After two rough outings, what are you looking to accomplish in Michigan? “I’m hoping for a top-ten finish. We didn’t seem to have a lot of speed at Texas, we aren’t sure why, but we’re looking to overcome it. This is the same truck we had at Charlotte and it was a top-five truck there. The 10 guys have had awesome pit stops lately, so hopefully it can all come together this weekend and we can have a great finish.”
