andy66 Posted July 13, 2004 Report Share Posted July 13, 2004 Jon t garrett was seriously burned on his right leg in the last arts race at thr. he thought it would get better but as the week went on it started feeling worse. On friday, july 9th, he went to the doctor and was immediately admitted to the hospital. His leg had developed an infection and was put on antibiotics through the weekend. tqj3 Posted July 20, 2004 Report Share Posted July 20, 2004 Just got off the phone with Jon T. He's still in the hospital, and they've kind of enlarged the wound in order to clean it. He's shooting for Thursday to be out of the hospital, but doesn't know if that will happen. Oddly, his burn was worse than Dale Jr.'s and is still worse. Jon sounds good, though, and wanted everyone to know he appreciates the concern. He also says he has to get out of there because the hospital doesn't have Speed Channel... They had to unwrap it and work on it some more today... just a wait and see deal. They may have to again. He's trying to get a wireless internet hooked up, satellite (speed vision), and no telling what else... he's gonna be guiding the space station down before long with all the electronic equipment. He did say thanks for thinking of him and all of the concern. As far as the race in San Antonio... who knows. It's just a wait and see deal right now. PS...
