It will be the 3rd Annual Aaron Hudgeons Memorial Race for Limited Modifieds and Race #3 of the Allgayer, Inc. South Texas Street Stock Shootout. Aaron was from Cuero and became well known for his modified and limited modified driving skills across south and central Texas. Aaron was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer and fought a brave battle. Texana Raceway Park, which Aaron always called "his home track", quickly assembed the Aaron Hudgeons Memorial Race during the same summer of his passing. Due to how beloved Aaron was by all, the event became an instant success. Also, equally as successful was the instant assembly of the Aaron Hudgeons Memorial Scholarship Committee. In only it's 2nd year of existence, the group awarded six $500 scholarships to 2012 graduates. Committed to the event this year are drivers such as Howard Willis, Paul White, and John O Whittington, just to mention a very few. This is a one night show, which will have $2,500 to win and $100 to start the A Main. plus a bottle of Mud Buster to each A Main starter and a free limited mod wrap to the 10th place finisher in the A Main. A true testament to how respected Aaron was by all who met him, sponsors have been eager to support this event. Whittington, owner) 26 cars with start the A-Main with 25th being a promoters choice, and 26th will go to the highest bid and all proceeds from bidding will go to the Aaron Hudgeons Memorial Scholarship fund. Anyone (drivers, crew, or fans) can bid to put the 26th competitor in.
