rebelracewriter Posted November 14, 2013 Report Share Posted November 14, 2013 USMTS Modifieds Invade Royal Purple Raceway This Week For 7th Annual Lecolift Texas Winter Nationals This weekend, the biggest names in dirt modified racing will invade the Bull Ring at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas, to battle in the season-ending blockbuster for the United States Modified Touring Series. Set for Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 14-16, the 7th Annual Lecolift Texas Winter Nationals presented by 4s Motorsports will once again draw more than 100 top guns from at least a dozen states, with all of them converging on the state-of-the-art 1/4-mile high-banked clay oval looking for their share of more than $50,000 in prize money. A track and event record 148 entries (82 USMTS Modifieds and 66 USRA Limited Mods) were on hand for the last November's shoot-out. USRA Limited Mods will also be on the racing card each night with drivers battling for $500, $600 and $700 to win, respectively, plus several bonus cash awards up for grabs and a fantastic payoff throughout the field. On Thursday and Friday, the pit gate opens at 3 p.m., grandstands open at 5 drivers meeting is at 6:30 and racing begins at 7 (all times are one hour earlier on Saturday). Grandstand admission is $15 each night for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and children 5 and under get in for free. Pit passes are $35 Thursday and Friday, $40 on Saturday. An open practice on Wednesday, Nov. 13, will get the party started. Gates open at 4 p.m. and practice will take place from 6-9 p.m. Admission to the grandstands is free while pit passes are $20.
